What cookies do
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent back to the relevant website. ZUGA uses first-party cookies for account sessions and the market you select. Selecting a location is a preference choice, not consent to advertising or tracking.
Analytics, advertising and third-party services
ZUGA uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to measure how the marketplace is used, so we can improve it. Clarity creates anonymised recordings and heatmaps of how pages are used; text you type is hidden. They record pages viewed, searches and actions such as tapping to contact a seller, with an approximate location from your connection.
We also use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook, Instagram) to measure how our own adverts perform, for example whether someone who saw an advert later signed up, viewed a listing or contacted a seller, and to show ZUGA adverts to people likely to be interested. We do not sell your information, and we do not send your name, email address, phone number or messages to these tools.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first: analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept, and you can decline. Hosting and security providers may also use technical mechanisms needed to deliver and protect their services. Google's own privacy policy explains how Google processes this data.
Your controls
You can change your selected market using the location selector. To remove stored preferences, delete this site's cookies in your browser settings. Clearing or blocking cookies may sign you out, require you to select a location again, and prevent some account features from working. Clearing browser cookies does not delete your ZUGA account or the location saved in its profile. Contact support for account-data requests.
